This Hannibal Tree House Castle Has a Spectacular River View
It's not a tree house in the strictest sense of the word, but this "Custom Tree House Application," commissioned by a Hannibal businessman for his kids, is tree top tall with a spectacular view of the Mississippi River.

Usually, when these kinds of buildings catch our eye, they're either for sale or can be rented for a getaway.
While this is neither, it's still pretty cool, and worth a look.
This tree house complex, built in 2016, consists of three "pods," one for each youngster in the household, designed individually to serve as sleep, play and hang-out areas.
There's also a pod with a kitchen area, shower, bath and theater.
The pods are connected by rope bridges and balconies, and there's an observation deck designed to fully appreciate that majestic river view.
The project took four years to design and about a year-and-a-half to build.
As you can see in the video, the folks at Mitsubishi Electric are particularly proud of their part in the project.
They had two jobs: to heat and cool the pods as quietly and unobtrusively as possible, and to incorporate running the HVAC system through an automation system that also controls such things as the locks and the lights, all of which can be run with a tablet or a smart phone.
They consider the project a success.
