The Hannibal Cavemen took an early lead in Terre Haute Thursday night, but the Rex battled back for a 5-3 win.

Hannibal scored three times in the fourth inning on a two-run single by left fielder A.J. VanMeetren and a sacrifice fly by third baseman Joe Redburn.

Terre Haute scored twice in the fifth and a run in the sixth to tie the game, then scored twice in the eighth on an RBI single by third baseman Ricardo Ramirez and a run-scoring double by DH Andy De Jesus.

The loss drops the Cavemen to 0-2 for the second half of the season and 7-19 overall.

Hannibal is at Terre Haute again tonight before returning home to face the Danville Dans over the weekend.
