A total of ten people are injured, three seriously, in separate northeast Missouri traffic crashes Tuesday.

Nine people, including five juveniles, are hurt in a two vehicle crash on Highway 61 in Lincoln County at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports 78 year old Mickey Cornelius of Annada was eastbound turning left, failed to yield and was struck by a southbound pickup, driven by 28 year old Emily Lawrence of Alton, Illinois.

Mickey Cornelius and his passenger, 75 year old Kathleen Cornelius, also of Annada, are taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of serious injuries.

Lawrence and her passengers, 28 year old Holly Drew of Bowling Green and five juveniles, three males and two females, ranging in age from two to seven, from Alton and Bowling Green, are all taken to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for treatment of moderate injuries.

 

A New London woman suffers serious injuries in a car-semi crash on Highway 61 at Route A in New London at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday.

The Highway Patrol reports 18 year old Grace Lowney of New London was westbound, failed to yield and was struck by a southbound semi, driven by 34 year old Jeremiah Sutton of Bowling Green.

A passenger in the Lowney car, 49 year old Helene Lowney, also of New London, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
