June unemployment figures for Northeast Missouri do not look good.

Missouri’s unemployment rate for June is reported at 6.5 percent.

Unemployment rose is just about every Northeast Missouri county for December. Taking the biggest hits were Clark, Macon, Monroe, Ralls and Shelby counties. Slight increases were reported in Pike, Knox, Lewis, , Marion and Scotland counties.

The latest jobless numbers for Northeast Missouri offer a mixed bag of minimal decreases or increases.

The number of people who were out of work during August dipped for most counties in Northeast Missouri.

Online applications for Illinois unemployment benefits are now available in Spanish and Polish. The new translations come after the state's made other changes to help people whose primary language isn't English.
