Illinois grocery store chain with 31 locations has reportedly admitted to price gouging.

I am so glad we live in the part of America that also has so many vibrant Amish communities. And, when I say "vibrant", I'm obviously not talking about the color of clothing, but the natural way of life that they share including their grocery stores which are unlike any you've probably ever seen as new video from Illinois proves.

There was quite a bit of legislative activity in Illinois this week. Several bills were just signed into law and they cover a variety of issues involving food, technology and labor.

It's not easy to complete a merger of two companies into one. If you doubt this, this is a great example. Thanks to new court activity, the sale of 35 Illinois grocery stores may now be on a permanent hold.

It appears there's about to be a seismic shift in the grocery store market in Illinois. A new report claims that as many as 35 Illinois grocery stores are being identified and planned for selloff after a mega-merger is complete.

If the experiments that Walmart has already started implementing is successful, you could see some big changes coming to some Walmart locations in Wisconsin and possibly soon.

It's been said that the more things change, the more they stay the same. This is actually the opposite of that. It's big changes that are currently in their experimental stages that may be coming to at least 2 Illinois Walmart locations.

I've heard it said that the retail business is a moving target. That's definitely true for major chains like Walmart who are in the process of making big changes to some of their Neighborhood Markets. Does that mean the 16 Missouri locations are about to get a big upgrade?

I am not anti-tech and I can prove it, but I am concerned about what an Illinois grocery chain is doing that includes doing away with cashiers and the traditional checkout process and allowing stores to be run completely by artificial intelligence. Yes, the robots are taking over.

If an Illinois grocery store chain has its way, Walmart will no longer be the biggest provider of groceries in America. They've announced an enormous expansion which will include over 800 new stores including reportedly many in Missouri and Illinois.
