Bed bugs

It may not be the greatest fear while traveling, but it's at least a top 5. A traveler just shared video of disgusting bed bugs they encountered when they stopped for the night at a Missouri motel.

I wouldn't look at this recent reports of bed bugs in Illinois if I were you, but you obviously did anyway, so that probably means you're about to travel and you might have concerns about places in the Land of Lincoln you might stop at. Spoiler Alert: you are right to be afraid...so very very afraid.

I tend to be naive. When I stop at a motel, I assume everything is fine. I've learned that I am often very very wrong as there are a whopping 404 Wisconsin bed bug reports right now.

I'd rather not know what I know after some research into the current state of bed bugs in Illinois. I've learned that there are more than 600 current reports of bed bugs in Illinois motels right now.

Have you ever learned a fact and almost immediately wished you hadn't? That's exactly what's just happened to me as I now know there are 568 current reports of bed bugs in Missouri motels right now and I cannot erase that fact from my mind.

Throw away your mattress immediately.

Please don't take this as me saying that St. Louis is innocent of something. As a matter of fact, in a new ranking of the most infested places in America, they're high on the list, but they're not alone. Two other Missouri destinations also got mentioned among the most infamous when it comes to dreaded bugs.
