A Quincy man is sentenced Monday for his part in the beating death of another Quincy man in November of 2015.

As part of a plea agreement, 32 year old Justin Summers pleaded guilty to a theft charge in February. He was sentenced Monday to 364 days of periodic imprisonment in the Adams County Jail.

Summers and Edwin Barnstead, Jr. are alleged to have robbed Patrick Forbes. During the course of the robbery, Forbes was fatally beaten by Barnstead.

Barnstead was sentenced to 26 ½ years in prison after pleading guilty to first degree murder.

Summers had been granted immunity in the murder case in exchange for his cooperation.
