Cleanup is underway following strong thunderstorms at mid afternoon Wednesday.

Power was knocked out in parts of Hannibal and Quincy. BPW crews have fully restored power—at one point around two thousand were without power in Hannibal… there are some electric customers in Adams County without power. At one point over seven thousand Ameren customers in Illinois were without power. The storm also knocked down a large tree in Central Park and a tree fell on a moving car in the 33-hundred block of Palmyra Road. Police say the driver sustained minor injuries.

Tree limbs were reported down in several areas of Quincy. Some flash flooding was reported along with high winds in the Monroe City area.
