Steson Crider, the suspect in the murder case of 12-year-old Rayshone Humphrey Jr., is now in custody in Adams County. According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department, Crider made his first court appearance at the Adams County Jail at 8:30 on Thursday (6/11) morning.

Crider faces a first-degree murder charge following the shooting of Humphrey in the early morning hours of March 28. Police have said they believe the boy was not the intended target of the shooting. Crider was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Mesa, Arizona.

Three of Steson Crider’s relatives - Stefan Crider Jr., Julia Crider and Stefan Crider III - have also been charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice in connection with the case. The three are alleged to have helped Crider dispose of a gun and leave the state after the murder.
