State Gives Go-Ahead for New Blessing Medical Building
State regulators have given the go ahead to Blessing Health System to build a new medical facility on Quincy’s east side.
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board Tuesday unanimously approved the certificate of need for a two-story, 80,000 square foot medical office building, to be built on land the hospital owns just east of 48th and Maine.
Blessing told the state board it needed the new building for office space for new physicians, with additional space for lab, radiology, CAT scans and MRI’s.
The goal is to have the new facility open by the end of 2020.
