Sprout’s Inn Owner Dies
Bill Shuler
The third-generation owner of a long-time Quincy restaurant has died.
44 year old Jennifer Wiemelt was found unresponsive in her home and was taken to Blessing Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Wiemelt’s grandfather, Cecil “Sprout” McClean, first opened what is now Sprout’s Inn. Wiemelt took over ownership of the business from her father, the late Patrick McClean.
According to Adams County Coroner Jim Keller, doctors ruled the death was from natural causes, so there will be no inquest.
