A Quincy mother enters a guilty plea in connection with the accidental shooting death of her seven year old daughter.
Karen Torres entered the guilty plea to misdemeanor charges of illegal possession of ammunition and a FOID card. A charge of obstruction/destroying of evidence was dropped. Sentencing is set for June 8th. Melina Torres died of an accidental gunshot wound sustained during a family event on May 20, 2016 near Beverly. A family member handed a rifle to a three year old who pulled the trigger.

Three other individuals were also charged in the death. Daniel Roberts entered a guilty plea to endangering the life of a child. He was sentenced to nine years in prison. Shannon Combes plead guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He received a three and a half year prison sentence. Julie Roberts awaits sentencing on charges against her next month.
