Authorities say there was no foul play in the drowning of a Springfield, Illinois teenager in Mark Twain Lake a week ago.

Ralls County Coroner Robert Van Winkle announced his finding in the death of 17 year old Kamerion Rice.

Van Winkle also said the death had been ruled an accidental drowning.
State Water Patrol officers reported that Rice was wading near the shoreline about 7 p.m. Friday. Rice walked into deeper water and was unable to swim.

Rice’s body was recovered about 1 p.m. Saturday.
