Mark Twain Lake

I remember when the Mark Twain Lake area first began real development decades ago and the belief at the time was that it would be as popular in Missouri as Lake of the Ozarks, but that never happened. Why? That's a question the internet is debating.

I have always daydreamed about having a log home in Missouri and I found one that checks nearly all of the boxes. It's available now and I'm pretty sure I need this right now, but there's a problem.

It's easy to overlook something that's in your own backyard. I will admit that I'm guilty of taking things for granted that I've lived near most of my life. That's true of Perry, Missouri that was just named one of the most charming towns in Missouri.

I had to do a double-take to make sure I wasn't seeing the same thing that happened over the weekend. There's been another earthquake between Mark Twain Lake and Moberly, Missouri centered near the town of Madison.

It's common to have earthquakes in Missouri near the New Madrid Fault. But, one happened early Saturday that wasn't anywhere close to that. It was detected between Moberly, Missouri and Mark Twain Lake.

This just in. We know what we look like from the ground, but what do we look like from space? Thanks to pictures taken by astronauts, we can know. As a matter of fact, I have pictures taken over Earth of Mark Twain Lake over 17 years ago.

When you want to relax, you really should consider goats. I didn't believe that before, but I do now after seeing an Airbnb near Mark Twain Lake that is a real goat farm.

I envy people that have the talent to convert homes into Airbnb's. There's a new listing near Mark Twain Lake now that shows a cabin that's been made into a nice place to stay.

If you've driven through Perry, Missouri and/or the Mark Twain Lake area, there's a good chance you've seen the big red barn. Now, you can see inside this neat place that's also an Airbnb with dolls on the walls.
