Shots Fired Report Results in Arrest of Hannibal Man

A shooting incident early Sunday morning results in the arrest of a Hannibal man.

Hannibal Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Hazel Street just before 5 a.m. Sunday on a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived and learned that multiple shots had been fired in the area.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of 59 year old Donald Selmon of Hannibal, who was taken to the Marion County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

A warrant was issued in the Circuit Court of Marion County, charging Selmon with unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Selmon posted bond and was released.
