Structure fire in Hannibal, early Thursday morning resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Cheyenne Voelkel of Hannibal.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall and Hannibal Fire Investigator worked together to determine that a structure fire that happened early Thursday morning was indeed arson. A person of interest was identified and later arrested for the arson fire. Voelkel was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Marion County jail until a warrant was later issued.

Voelkel is charged with Arson 2nd Degree with a bond set at $50,000 cash or surety. Voelkel remains lodged in the Marion County Jail. The Hannibal Fire Department and the Hannibal Police Department were called to the 900 block of Fulton where the structure fire took place. Soon after the fire was put out, detectives started working the scene with the Missouri State Fire Marshall and Hannibal Fire Investigator.
