HANNIBAL -- Randall Shepard, the former Palmyra High School coach and teacher accused of having sex with a student will remain in jail after a second request to reduce his bond was denied.
Judge Rachel Bringer said Monday in Marion County circuit court that she would take the request for bond reduction under advisement. A filing Tuesday on Case.net, Missouri's online courts database, showed that Bringer has denied the motion.
Shepard, who waived a formal reading Monday of the felony sex charges he faces, remains lodged in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond.
