A child sex offender from Missouri was arrested on a variety of charges Friday in Pike County, Illinois.

Pike County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 31 year old Charles Buecker of Wright City, Missouri at a residence in New Canton.

Buecker was charged with failure to register as a sex offender, false information provided by a sex offender, obstructing justice and sex offender present at a school.

Buecker is alleged to have been unlawfully staying at the residence in New Canton and is alleged to have attended a local school function recently.

The obstruction charge stemmed from Buecker allegedly providing a wrong name to investigating officers.

Buecker is on parole from the Missouri Department of Corrections and is facing charges of failure to register as a sex offender in Warren County, Missouri.

Buecker is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
