It was dryer than average, with summer-like temperatures still hanging around in September in Hannibal.

After above average precipitation in July and August, the Hannibal Filter Plant recorded 2.7 inches of rain in September, about a half-inch less than average.

Most of the September rains came on just two days, with .56 of an inch of rain on the 7th and 1.8 inches of precip on the 8th.

Meanwhile, there were six days in September on which the high temperatures reached 90 or above. The warmest days last month were the 6th and 7th, when the high reached 92. The mercury reached 90 degrees on the 5th, then again on the 20th, the 21st and the 23rd.
