Semi Fire

(FALL CREEK)—Traffic was reduced to one lane on Illinois 57 under the I-72 overpass at midday Thursday by a truck fire in the northbound lane. Illinois State Police say the driver—56 year old James Berry of Tunas Missouri and his dog escaped the semi without injury. Berry says the truck was running rough and another driver pulled up and said the truck was on fire. The truck was carrying railroad ties was engulfed in flames as emergency crews arrived.
