Hannibal Police make four arrests early Friday morning on meth related charges.

Officers of the Hannibal Police Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad and the Special Response Team executed a narcotics search warrant in the 2200 block of Hope Street just after 5:30 a.m. Friday.

The search resulted in the discovery of a large amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine, along with a handgun, drug paraphernalia and marijuana.

Taken into custody were 48 year old Shawn Williams, 29 year old Joana Ortega and 21 year old Brenda Watkins, all of Hannibal and 50 year old Troy Nesbitt of Macon.

Nesbitt has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. Williams was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Ortega and Watkins were released pending prosecutor review.

Nesbitt and Williams are in the Marion County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond each.
