Scott Pleads Not Guilty to Attack on QU Friar

A Quincy man pleads not guilty to charges in connection with an attack on a Quincy University friar Wednesday in Adams County Circuit Court.

37 year old George Scott IV pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery of a school employee.

Scott is alleged to have entered Brenner Library on the QU campus last April and battering a friar with a stick.

Scott had been found unfit to stand trial in October, but that motion was withdrawn earlier this month.

Scott is in the Adams County Jail on $20,000 bond.
