Ribbon cutting ceremonies Wednesday morning mark completion of a roundabout on Shinn Lane at the entrance to Hannibal Regional.
Mayor James Hark says the project is for the long term. "We'll really recognize the full potential of this over the next decade. We're looking at the expansion and growth in this area. It's obviously a trend and it will nice to be ahead of the game instead of trying to react to a problem. "

Work on the roundabout started in the late spring. Cost of the project was 1.6 million dollars for the city of Hannibal. A 332-thousand dollar grant from MODOT covered some of the cost.
