With the coming of spring and warmer weather comes the season of American Cancer Society Relay for Life fund raisers in the area.

The Ralls County Relay for Life is Saturday, April 18 at Mark Twain High School in Center. Opening ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. with the survivor lap at 6:30 and the luminaria ceremony at 9. There will be entertainment throughout the evening, and dinner will be available in the cafeteria beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Marion County, the Flower Children team hosts its 15th annual Spring Fling fund raiser Saturday at the American Legion Hall in Palmyra. There will be a social hour at 5 p.m., with a catered dinner at 6 and an auction at 7:15.

The Marion County Relay for Life is Friday and Saturday, June 5 and 6 at Flower City Park in Palmyra.
