On Sunday evening, at about 6:57pm, Quincy Police received a call from a concerned citizen regarding suspicious activity in the 1700 block of Harrison Street.  Officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles on the gas station lot located at 1705 Harrison.  Upon making contact with two individuals sitting in one of the vehicles, officers could smell the odor of cannabis coming from the car.  Quincy Police K9 Kilo was called to the scene and assisted by conducting a sniff of the suspect’s car.

Kilo alerted officers to the odor of narcotics coming from inside the vehicle.  The vehicle was searched.  Officer’s located over 10 grams of cannabis, along with items commonly used in the sale of cannabis.

The driver, Lindsey R. Barton, was arrested for Manufacture / Delivery of Cannabis (felony) and was lodged in the Adam’s County Jail.

The passenger in the car, a 17 year old male from Quincy, was issued ordinance violation tickets for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia and was released on bond.
