Quincy Man Sentenced for Possession of Child Pornography

A Quincy man has been sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

Quincy Police report 49 year old Marcus Groves was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison for two counts of possession of child pornography.

Groves is alleged to have possessed videos involving children under the age of 13 involved in sexual acts.

Groves was a registered sex offender and had been convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Sangamon County in 2011.
