A Quincy man faces multiple charges following his arrest.
Quincy Police say 32 year old Leshawn Stanbridge was arrested after he was observed riding in a car headed south on Gardner Expressway. Police attempted a traffic stop but the driver did not pull over. While following the car… police observed Stanbridge attempting to drive and take control from the passenger side. The car stopped at Sixth and Payson where Stanbridge exited and fled on foot. During the chase, Stanbridge was observed throwing items away. Police recovered a baggie containing over five grams of a white powder that tested positive for meth. Stanbridge was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Police say he was wanted for aggravated battery and for failure to appear on criminal trespassing.. battery and City of Quincy warrants for possession of marijuana. Stanbridge faces new charges of attempted vehicular hijacking,  fleeing a peace officer,  no valid driver’s license and possession of methamphetamine. Police say Stanbridge was taken to the Adams County Jail.
