A Quincy man is arrested in Lewis County on theft and drug charges.

According to Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish, deputies received a report November 23rd that a catalytic converter had been cut from a vehicle at a farm in rural Ewing. The investigation identified a suspect vehicle in connection with the incident.

Monday, the vehicle was spotted in LaBelle. A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of 24 year old Austin Andrews-Dowd of Quincy.

Andrews-Dowd has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, receiving stolen property and tampering.

He is in the Lewis County Jail on $20,000 cash only bond.
