Quincy Man Arrested for Setting Car Fire

Quincy Police were called to a residence at 1624 Broadway at 12:23 a.m. Saturday on a report of a car on fire.

Officers and firefighters arrived to find a vehicle on fire. An investigation revealed that a flammable liquid had been thrown onto a residence.

Just a couple of minutes later, a traffic stop at 12th and Elm resulted in the arrest of 42 year old Jamey Kuhlmeier of Quincy.

He is charged with attempted aggravated arson, arson, possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license.

Kuhlmeier is in the Adams County Jail. No one was hurt in the fire. Damage was limited to the car.
