Quincy Man Acquitted of Sexual Abuse Charges in Retrial

A Quincy man was found not guilty of sexual abuse charges Thursday in Adams County Circuit Court.

A jury took less than an hour to acquit 40 year old Rusty Willing of one count of predatory criminal sexual abuse of a child under age 13.

Willing had been found guilty of the charge in November of 2016. The Fourth District Appellate threw out the conviction and ordered a new trial.

A second trial last year resulted in a mistrial.

Willing was alleged to have improperly touched an eight year old girl in 2015.
