Quincy firefighters responded to two suspicious vehicle fires over the weekend.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Bernard Vahlkamp, fire crews arrived at 3501 State at 11:43 p.m. Saturday to find an unoccupied pickup truck on fire.

Then, at 2:48 a.m. Sunday, a second pickup was reported on fire at the corner of 11th and Chestnut. This truck was near a garage and a house. Both suffered minor siding damage.

Vahlkamp said both fires were suspicious because both trucks were parked in the street unattended. It is unclear yet as to whether the fires are related. No one was hurt.

If you have any information on either fire, you’re asked to call Quincy Crime Stoppers at 217-228-4474.
