Quincy fire crews were called to a fire at 925 South 7th Street about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had burned itself out, but the interior of the home had suffered significant damage.

Officials say the home was vacant. The electricity was on but the gas was not.

Since the home appeared to be vacant with nobody living in it, investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze.
