This year, Quincy Community Theatre's big summer musical is the hit show Newsies! And tickets are now on sale, get them before they are gone! Here are the details...\

Tickets are now on sale to the general public for Quincy Community Theatre's production of Newsies. Newsies hits the stage at QCT inside of the Oakley Lindsay Center on July 19-21 and 25-28, to purchase tickets, click here!

What is Newsies about? According to the Quincy Community Theatre website, they say "Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When the titan of publishing raises distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right! Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family." The show is directed by guest director Ethan Nienaber, choreographed by Cheryl Kaiser, and the live orchestra for the show is being led by Monica Scholz. For more information on Newsies, and to purchase tickets, click here!

This show will sell out, so run, don't walk, to the Quincy Community Theatre box office inside the Oakley Lindsay Center to get your tickets. What makes Quincy Community Theatre special is its ability to bring high-quality theatre starring local talent (your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers). This is a fun show that you can prepare for by watching the original movie starring a young Christian Bale on Disney+.
