Probable Cause Found in Pike County Drug Induced Homicide
Probable cause was found Tuesday in Pike County Circuit Court in the drug induced homicide case of two Calhoun County residents.
During a preliminary hearing, Judge Frank McCartney ruled that 30 year old Derek Tepen and 26 year old Kayle Howard should stand trial for the death of 35 year old Gavin Bland of Nebo March 4th.
Tepen and Howard are alleged to have delivered heroin laced with fentanyl to Bland, who died after ingesting the heroin.
Arraignment was set for May 23rd. The two are in the Pike County Jail on $200,000 bond.
