An advisory has been issued about a potential COVID-19 exposure in Hancock County.

The Hancock County Health Department learned of the potential exposure in the Hancock County Voter Registration Office in the Hancock County Courthouse in Carthage.

Even though officials are classifying this as a low-risk exposure, the public is still advised that if you went to the voter registration office last Friday, Saturday, Monday or Tuesday, you should monitor for symptoms.

If you develop symptoms within 14 days of the exposure, you should stay home and contact your health care provider to determine of medical evaluation is needed.
