Pleasant Hill Man Arrested for Failure to Register
A Pleasant Hill, Illinois man was arrested Friday for failure to register as a sex offender and other charges.
According to Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood, an investigation was begun on an individual who was reportedly staying at the Pike County Housing Complex in Pleasant Hill.
In the last week, Pleasant Hill Police and sheriff’s deputies had been conducting sex offender compliance checks and observed that 21 year old Spencer Miller was not at the address under which he was registered.
On Friday, Miller was arrested at an apartment in the housing complex.
Miller was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and criminal trespass to state supported property.
Due to his status as a sex offender, Miller is not allowed on Pike County Housing property.
