An investigation following a warrant arrest leads to multiple drug and weapons charges against a Nebo, Illinois man.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood reports police officers in Pleasant Hill took 24 year old Walter Michel of Nebo into custody late Thursday night on an Illinois Department of Corrections parole violation warrant, along with a warrant for unlawful use of a credit card.

An investigation revealed Michel was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes and ammunition.

Along with the outstanding warrants, Michel now faces charges of unlawful possession of meth, hypodermic needles and firearms ammunition by a felon, along with unlawful use of a weapon.

Michel is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
