Pickup Crash Near Monroe City Kills Shelbina Man

A Shelbina man is dead following pickup truck crash on US 36 a mile east of Monroe City.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 76-year-old Lee Roberts lost control of his pickup on the ice and snow covered highway at 2:50 p.m. The truck went into the median and overturned coming to rest on its top. Troopers say Roberts was pronounced dead at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

A passenger, 73-year-old Sharon Roberts, was treated at Hannibal Regional Hospital for minor injuries.
