Paris MO Man Dead Following Car-Train Collision

A Paris Missouri man is dead after he pulled into the path of a train. The collision occurred west of Paris in Monroe County at 1:05 Saturday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol says 80 year old Stanley Thurman failed to yield to an eastbound Norfolk and Southern freight train. Troopers say Thurman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County coroner.
