One Man Dead in Rural Plainville Shooting

Authorities in Adams County report that a man has died as the result of a shooting in rural Adams County Monday night.

According to the Adams County State’s Attorney’s office, deputies were called to a report of a shooting in rural Plainville around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Deputies arrived and found 64 year old Lowell “Randy” Oitker, who had died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Several individuals were taken to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for questioning, but no arrests were made.

The investigation into the death continues.
