The Highway Patrol reports 60 year old Larry Steffen of Quincy was westbound, lost control on the snow covered roadway, crossed the center line and struck an eastbound car, driven by 30 year old Travis Anderson of Mexico.

Anderson was taken to Northeast Regional Hospital in Kirksville and Steffen was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, both for treatment of serious injuries.

A passenger in the Steffen car, 66 year old William Reynolds of Edina, was taken to Northeast Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

 

Two Clarence teenagers are hurt in a single vehicle crash on Shelby County Road 450 northwest of Shelbina at 5:10 p.m. Sunday.

The Highway Patrol reports a 16 year old juvenile female was westbound and lost control of her pickup on the ice covered road, causing her to run off the road and overturn.

The 16 year old and her passenger, a 14 year old female, were taken to Samaritan Hospital in Macon for treatment.

The 14 year old suffered moderate injuries. The 16 year old’s injuries were described as minor.

 

Two escape with minor injuries in a pickup/train crash on a private road east of Huntsville in Randolph County just after noon Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 45 year old Kyle Jordan of Paris was southbound, failed to yield while crossing railroad tracks that had no signal device and was struck by an eastbound locomotive.

Jordan and his passenger, 18 year old Justin Madison of Holliday, were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment.

 

A Pittsfield man is hurt in a single vehicle crash on Highway 106 west of Detroit in Pike County just before 6 p.m. Friday.

The State Police reports 36 year old William Fitzmaurice was westbound on 106 when he lost control of his pickup on the icy roadway. The pickup ran off the road, became airborne and overturned.

Fitzmaurice refused medical treatment at the scene.

 

A Pittsfield man suffers minor injuries and is ticketed as the result of a single vehicle crash on Highway 24 near Camp Point just before 3 a.m. Sunday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports 19 year old Marcus Price was eastbound when his pickup ran off the road, struck two culverts and continued down the road ditch, coming to rest partially in the road.

Price was taken to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

He was ticketed for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

 

A Hunnewell woman suffers minor injuries in a one car crash on Highway 24 east of Stoutsville in Monroe County at 11 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 37 year old Staci Kiger was eastbound when her car ran off the road and struck a tree.

Kiger refused treatment at the scene.

 

A Quincy man suffers moderate injuries in one car crash on Ralls County Route DD east of Monroe City at 4:14 p.m. Saturday.

The Highway Patrol reports 33 year old Matthew Anderson was southbound when his car ran off the road, struck a culvert and overturned.

Anderson was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.
