The county’s mitigation plan calls for continued enforcement of state regulations and encouraged compliance with the mask mandate, use of Blessing Hospital’s resources in dealing with peaks in the spread of the virus and the increased use of rapid testing.

Officials issued a reminder that not wearing a mask in public is against the law in Illinois, subject to citations and fines.

And, rapid testing that is expanding in Adams County will provide results in as little as 15 minutes.

The Adams County Health Department will be conducting free COVID-19 tests in their parking lot Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
