Charges have been refiled against a Quincy man for his role in the murder of a 12 year old Quincy boy last year.

Adams County State’s Attorney Jon Barnard refiled obstruction of justice charges against 25 year old Stefan Crider III Wednesday, two days before the statute of limitations would have run out.

The charges had been dropped because evidence in the obstruction case was similar to the evidence in the murder case of Steson Crider. He was convicted of the murder of Ray Humphrey, Jr. in October of 2015. He was sentenced to 65 years in prison.

Last month, obstruction charges that had been dropped against Stefan Crider, Jr. and Julia Crider were also refiled.

Stefan Crider III’s first court appearance on the new charges is set for September 27th.
