No New Trial For Cazares

(HANNIBAL)—There will be no new trial for a man convicted in the 2009 double murder of Amanda Thomas and Carl Epley. 

The Missouri Eastern Appellate Court has denied Manuel Cazares' appeal for a new trial.  Cazares was convicted of two counts of second degree murder almost two years ago in the deaths of Thomas and Epley. Cazares also was found guilty of armed criminal action.

A court affirmed that ruling last November. The case was closed in December.
