The Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol have released additional information in connection with a body that was found in the Mississippi River three years ago.

The remains of the Jane Doe were found south of Hannibal on September 15th, 2013.

Authorities now believe the woman was seen a week before with an unknown male and female at the Mark Twain Cave and Gift Shop.

The man is described as very tall with blond hair, wearing a cutoff t-shirt, shorts and work boots. The woman is described as short, 18-22 years old with short blond hair, wearing a yellow shirt and gray shorts.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol is asking anyone who believes that the Jane Doe might be a missing family member, or anyone who believes they may have seen any of the three individuals to call 573-769-2077 or 660-385-2132.
