New Information of Ralls County Officer-Involved Shooting

Authorities have released new information on the officer-involved shooting in Ralls County Tuesday night.

According to a Highway Patrol spokesperson, four Ralls County deputies and a New London Police officer responded to a report of a distraught woman off Spencer Creek Lane just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say there was an encounter between the deputies and an armed female.

During the incident, shots were fired and the woman was injured.
Authorities say the woman suffered serious injuries and was life flighted to a St. Louis hospital.

Two of the Ralls County deputies suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from a local hospital.

No more information has been released on the identities of the people involved or the condition of the woman.

The state Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating the case.
