Health departments on both sides of the river are reporting new cases of COVID-19.

The Marion County Health Department reported four new confirmed cases of coronavirus Monday.

The new cases include a male resident age 80 to 90, who is hospitalized, a male age 40 to 50, a female age 60 to 70 and a female age 20 to 30, all of whom are quarantined at home.

That brings the total COVID cases in Marion County to 31. Five are hospitalized, 25 cases are still active. Six have recovered.

The Pike County Illinois Health Department reported Tuesday two new COVID cases, bringing its total to five.

Pike County’s newest cases are female, one in her 60s and one in her 70s. Both are recovering in isolation at home.

Contact tracing has been initiated.
