The Adams County COVID-19 numbers continue to climb.

The Adams County Health Department Friday reported 23 new confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The latest cases include 16 males, age 10 to 50s, and seven females, age 10 to 60s.
That brings the positive COVID count in Adams County to 935. There are currently 98 active cases, with seven hospitalized in their 40s to 90s and ten deaths.

The preliminary seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests jumps to 5.81%.

 

Health department officials in Hancock County have learned of a lab confirmed positive COVID-19 test result in the Nauvoo-Colusa School District.

School officials say they are working with the health department to reduce the risk of additional transmission.

Individuals who were determined to have been in close contact with the individual have been provided with quarantine guidance.

Those who were not in close contact have been asked to monitor for symptoms.
