National Tom Sawyer Days Underway in Hannibal

The first full day of National Tom Sawyer Days begins with Arts and Crafts in Central Park and Mud Volleyball at the Y-Men’s Pavilion at 9 a.m.

The parade steps off at 10 this morning.

At noon the carnival opens and the new Tom and Becky will be announced.

Tanyard Gardens features Hypnotist Brian Madrid at 1 and 7 p.m., Hannibal’s Got Talent at 2 and the band All’s Forgotten at 8.

The local, state and over 30 fence painting contest happens on North Main at 4 p.m., with the 4th of July fireworks display at dusk.

National Tom Sawyer days runs through Sunday.
