Hannibal Kiwanis 4th of July Raffle is Back With a Different Look
A Hannibal Fourth of July tradition is back in 2022, with a different look.
On KHMO Talk Back Monday, Mark Neil of the Hannibal Evening Kiwanis gave us the details of their annual raffle drawing, back this year after taking 2021 off due to COVID.
What's different about this drawing is the prize. In the past, there have been vehicles of one kind or another up for grabs.
This time, the Kiwanis decided to go with a 50/50 drawing, and tickets are on sale now.
In fact, the Kiwanis have already had a couple of early bird winners.
They are holding a drawing for $100 the first Monday of each month now through June, then will have two preliminary drawings of $300 July 4.
Tickets are just $10 each or 3 for $25 and a maximum of 2,500 tickets will be sold.
The big winner on the Fourth of July gets half the pot - you do the math.
That drawing happens at 4 p.m. in Central Park during National Tom Sawyer Days.
But wait, there's more. 2022 also marks the return of the Evening Kiwanis' annual Easter weekend pancake and sausage breakfast, back at the Hannibal High School Cafeteria Saturday, April 16.
And, here's more good news. If you purchased tickets for the Pancake and Sausage breakfast in 2020, which wound up being cancelled because of COVID and you've still got those tickets (like we do), the Kiwanis would be happy to take those tickets this April.
